Sosimo Gonzalez De Jesus, 29, currently being held at county jail without bail

– A 29-year-old man was arrested on Oct. 4 for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in San Luis Obispo, police reported. Sosimo Gonzalez De Jesus, a resident of San Luis Obispo County, was taken into custody at El Chorro Regional Park after police detectives posed as the victim on a smartphone communications application.

The incident occurred on Sept. 20, when Gonzalez De Jesus allegedly broke into a house through a window, removed the juvenile victim from her bed, and sexually assaulted her in the bathroom before leaving the property. The victim was known to the suspect, according to police.
Gonzalez De Jesus faces multiple felony charges, including burglary with intent to commit sexual assault, rape of a minor under 14, kidnapping, lewd acts with a child, sending explicit imagery to a minor (three counts), and committing a felony during first-degree burglary.

He is currently being held in San Luis Obispo County Jail without bail and will not be eligible for release until his trial concludes.
