Theft suspect wanted by police.

Paso Robles police tie together three recent thefts totaling $5000

–The Paso Robles Police Department is trying to identify a suspected thief who stole credit cards from local victims and then used the cards to make purchases at the Paso Robles Walmart in Woodland Plaza at 180 Niblick Road. The thefts total almost $5,000.

“We have taken a few theft reports with this person as the suspect at Walmart,” said Commander Caleb Davis. “Typically the suspect is using a stolen credit card to purchase items. We are continuing to work to identify him.”

The cases police say are related to the same suspect are:

  • Feb. 26, 2021: Case No. 21-0558 – Kennedy Club Fitness, a theft occurred at 2 p.m. hours. Two separate vehicles had their passenger side window broken. Only one vehicle had a purse stolen. Credit cards were used at Walmart at 2:06 p.m. in gift card purchases for a total loss of $1024.
  • Jan. 16, 2021: Case No. 21-0130 – Barney Shwartz, a theft occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. The driver’s side window of a vehicle was broken and purse stolen. Credit cards were used at Walmart shortly afterward in the amount of $726.08 in gift card purchases. Two ATM transactions were also made at Sesloc’s ATM, one for $530 and another for $203.00 for a total loss of $1459.08.
  • Dec. 30, 2020: Case No. 20-3029 – Centennial Park, a theft occurred at approximately 1 p.m. A vehicle’s passenger side window was broken and a purse stolen. Credit cards were used at Walmart at 1:07 p.m. for a total loss of $2,491.98 in gift card purchases.
